This is a brief video showing some of the animations I have done for Dentsply Endodontics, a global dental products company. In this video, you will see the first part of an animated root canal, which visually shows how to use the proprietary Dentsply drill bits, as if you were performing an actual procedure. In addition to being used for marketing purposes, this animation was also used as product training for dentists who had purchased the tools.
Finally, at the end of this video, is a closeup of some of the tools, showing the differences in the widths and cutting surfaces of the drill bits.
This animation was created with perfect detail, not only with the procedure, but also with the modeling of the drill bits. A root canal procedure requires several drill bits, each having a specific width and cutting surface. Engineering drawings of the tools were provided to ensure that the animation would realistically depict the actual operation.
