Tooth Scaling and Root Planing

Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing is a non-surgical procedure recommended when a patient shows signs of gum disease. These signs may include the finding of deeper gum pockets, loss of support for the teeth that is visible on xrays, bleeding gums, and/or the accumulation of plaque and tartar below the the gums line. Scaling and Root Planing procedures are generally completed in quadrants (sections of the mouth), and usually require the dentist to numb the treatment area. The crown and root surfaces of the teeth can be thoroughly scaled and cleaned excessive plaque and tartar build up and deposits.

CEREC Basic Mode Inlay Restoration

In this video, CEREC trainer Chris Leinweber introduces you to designing with the CEREC software by working on the easiest type of restoration to design. But he also explains some potential pitfalls as inlay restorations can be the hardest to seat properly.

Triodent Griptab Animation

Think of the value of a handle to a cup. Triodent has applied that same principle to indirect restorations. By adhering Griptab to the restoration, you have a reliable grip and total mastery of the placement process, especially when using Triodent Pin-Tweezers for extra maneuverability, although small hemostats will do. These are just some of the benefits: * Silane/moisture-proof, flexible adhesive (supplied in syringe) * Easy pick-up * 100% secure grip to all crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays * Accurate, sure placement * Adhesive comes off restoration easily and cleanly at end of procedure * Passive and controlled release * The ability to pick up and put down a restoration multiple times (no stick in the way) * Adhesive changes color when cured

Dentsply Endodontics 3d Animation

This is a brief video showing some of the animations I have done for Dentsply Endodontics, a global dental products company. In this video, you will see the first part of an animated root canal, which visually shows how to use the proprietary Dentsply drill bits, as if you were performing an actual procedure. In addition to being used for marketing purposes, this animation was also used as product training for dentists who had purchased the tools. Finally, at the end of this video, is a closeup of some of the tools, showing the differences in the widths and cutting surfaces of the drill bits. This animation was created with perfect detail, not only with the procedure, but also with the modeling of the drill bits. A root canal procedure requires several drill bits, each having a specific width and cutting surface. Engineering drawings of the tools were provided to ensure that the animation would realistically depict the actual operation.
